CMSSL is Partnering with EDP Soccer beginning Fall 2022

CMSSL is proud to announce a partnership with EDP Soccer to run a 9U-10U boys’ and girls’ league with several competitive levels beginning the Fall 2022 season.  The 9U-10U EDP Futures Maryland – CMSSL League is open to all 9U and 10U clubs and teams affiliated with MSYSA.

"EDP Soccer is very excited to offer this fantastic 9U and 10U developmental option beginning in the Fall season. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a great organization (CMSSL) and find ways to not only improve player development, but aid in referee development," stated Jim Oman, EDP Soccer South Atlantic Regional Manager.

“CMSSL is thrilled to be part of the partnership with EDP Soccer to enhance our platform for the U9 and U10 developmental league,” commented Craig Blackburn, CMSSL commissioner.

Competitive Format

  • Brackets will be organized by competitive level and geography to reduce travel.
  • Brackets will be reviewed after the Fall 2022 season to ensure matches in Spring 2023 remain competitive.
  • Each team will play 8 games each season (Fall and Spring) and games will be played primarily on Saturdays.

Referees

  • CASRA will be the referee assigning organization for the 9U-10U EDP Futures Maryland -CMSSL League.
  • Teams will not have to coordinate the referees for this league.
  • There will be a referee mentoring program through the league to help educate new and young referees to ensure they have opportunities to succeed and continue officiating soccer games for years to come.

Fees

  • The registration fee is $300 per team / per season.
  • Fall and Spring seasons require separate registrations.
  • Referee fees are $20 per team per game and are paid at the field each game.
